Lori L. Till, Ed.D, has been an associate professor in the Hospitality and Tourism Department for the past 37 years. Dr. Till’s research focus includes food safety, responsible beverage service, human resources and legal issues in hospitality, Americans with Disabilities Act, service learning, and cooperative education.
She earned an Ed.D. in educational administration from the University at Buffalo, an M.S. in vocational education and a B.S. in food systems management from Buffalo State University.
Dr. Till is a northeast regional food safety and training consultant. She is a certified ServSafe Instructor Proctor with her company Food Safety Plus with FDA Food Code expertise, food allergies and food terrorism, and she has served as a food safety expert witness. Dr. Till provides multi-level food safety training to federal, state, corporate, healthcare, institutional, small business and underserved-communities.
Dr. Till serves as the department’s student transfer-articulation coordinator and audit administrator, and she is a long-term advisory board member for the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. She maintained the department’s ACPHA accreditation for 28 years and for over 20 years, Dr. Till has continued to align with regional supportive-employment community-partners that work with consumers with special needs cce.buffalostate.edu. Dr. Till has held several leadership positions in corporate business, and healthcare, contract foodservices and as a regional sales associate.
